my guess is that they dont want to become part of syria.. my guess is that they sense an imminent peace deal and want to clarify their loyalty for their own personal safety.. my guess is that they would become israeli like the other druz if they felt the land underneath them wasnt likely to revert to syrian control..
i think the use of the word "proud" is unconvincing..
If they so love Syria mammi why don't they pass the border into Syria and have their "good" life?
